Shoal Creek Clean Up Sept. 28: Volunteers Still Welcome!
Cirrus Logic and the Old Austin Neighborhood Association will sponsor another Shoal Creek beautification effort this Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. until 12 Noon!
Nearly 50 volunteers have signed up to join an assortment of team projects, led by crew leaders from the Texas Conservation Corps. The effort will span the area of the creek between 6th and 9th Street.
Do you love to mulch? Or do you prefer to prune or plant? No matter your desire, a task with your number is waiting for you. Please contact Michelle Johnson at Cirrus Logic if you would like to participate.
As a reminder, closed-toe shoes are appropriate, and a pair of work gloves will come in handy, though extras will be made available. This is a great activity for families or any student who needs to fulfill community volunteerism hours.
Volunteers will meet at Bar Mirabeau starting at 8:30 a.m. for coffee, juice and breakfast tacos.
But wait ... do you want to help out but prefer to work in a different Shoal Creek location? Know that a second Shoal Creek Clean Up event,
sponsored by Dynamic Reprographics, will take place from 8:30 - 12 Noon, with work projects taking place in the 10th-2th Street area of the creek.
Meet up at 8:30 a.m. at Dynamic Reprographics for coffee and to meet team members prior to starting!
